Ruby cares for her husband Richard, a former pianist who suffers from late stage Alzheimer's Disease. Trying to communicate with him, she finds a hopeful avenue when he reacts to her playing a piece he wrote long ago. As his condition worsens, Ruby struggles to let go.

Flat Echo is generously funded by the University of Southern California as part of CTPR 546, the advanced production class at USC. Only three projects are chosen each semester for this course.
